Wisconsin football adds Alabama assistant to recruiting staff, changes other titles
After putting together the majority of another top 25 rated recruiting class, the University of Wisconsin football program is shaking up that department. The Badgers announced Friday the hiring of two assistant directors of player personnel, Izayah Green-May and Brandon Rose, and the move of Jared Thompson to the position of college scouting coordinator. The changes follow the move of Casey Rabach, a former Badgers offensive lineman, to assistant offensive line coach and the anticipated move of director of player personnel Max Stienecker into a general manager role.

More layoffs at freight-related firms: 607 workers cut across 4 states
Layoffs continue across the commercial transportation and freight industry, according to a new round of worker reduction notices in Florida, Texas, Illinois and Wisconsin. It is the second round of layoffs since the beginning of July. Averitt Express, Bath & Body Works Logistics Services, ShipBob, and Henry Avocado Corp. announced a total of 218 layoffs earlier in the month.
