    Multiple guns seized in North County as part of domestic violence investigation

    FALLBROOK, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A convicted felon was arrested on suspicion of several weapons charges in North County Thursday, authorities said.

    According to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, deputies followed up on a domestic violence investigation at a home in the 700 block of Steward Canyon Road in Fallbrook around 8 a.m.

    During a search of the home, deputies found two handguns, an assault rifle and two privately manufactured firearms, also commonly referred to as ghost guns. These types of weapons do not have a serial number or other identifiable markings, authorities explained.

    Two arrested at DUI checkpoint in North County

    William James Wallace, a 46-year-old convicted felon, was arrested without incident, authorities said. The department confirmed he was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of several charges, including domestic violence, felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as possession of an undetectable firearm.
