Some Movement Could Be Coming On The Proposed Downtown Frederick Hotel & Conference Center
The facility is expected to cost more than $100 million. Frederick, Md (KM) It’s been discussed for many years, but the biggest question about the proposed downtown hotel and conference center in Frederick is when will construction begin. During a recent appearance on WFMD’s “Morning News Express,” Mayor Michael O’Connor said such large projects like these can take a few years. “If it was easy to build a large scale hotel and conference center in downtown Frederick, I think somebody would have pulled the trigger and done it. But it requires these partnerships of public and private entities coming together.” he said.
DMV’s First Torchy’s Tacos Adds Exterior Signage As it Moves Closer Towards Opening
Torchy’s Tacos has installed permanent signage at its first DMV restaurant, which will be located at 12266 Rockville Pike in Federal Plaza. Last September we let you know that Texas-based Torchy’s Tacos is coming to 12266 Rockville Pike in Federal Plaza, taking over part of the space that was recently home to Chuy’s and previously home to Ruby Tuesday. The restaurant had its hearing for its alcohol license back on Thursday, February 1st at 11:30am, so that hurdle has been cleared.

Justice declares state of emergency over drought in all WV counties
Prolonged shortages of rain have led to drought conditions throughout the entire state, Gov. Jim Justice said Friday. Justice declared a state of emergency in all 55 counties in an effort to help farmers, he said.
