This news arrives four days after the band revealed that Jimmy Herring, storied guitarist since 2006, has been diagnosed with stage one tonsil cancer and will need to withdraw from scheduled live engagements to begin treatment. Per the band, Herring is expected to make a full recovery: “That part we’re happy to report.”
