Juvenile injured in shooting after fight in Carson City on Fourth of July
CARSON CITY, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — An investigation is underway after a fight led to a shooting that injured a juvenile in Carson City on the Fourth of July. The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that took place at 11:50 p.m. on July 4. Authorities say a male juvenile was injured with a gunshot wound to the leg.
Victims in Wednesday fatal crash on Interstate 80 near Robb Drive identified
The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner's Office has identified two people killed in a Wednesday crash on Interstate 80 near Robb Drive as Christian Alicea, 28, and Jacob Merritt, 25, of Reno. According to the medical examiner, Alicea died at the scene and Merritt was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center where he died. Both deaths were ruled accidental resulting from blunt force trauma. The Nevada State Police have released no details on the accident that occurred around 11 p.m. The RGJ will update this story as more information becomes available.
