FALLS CHURCH, Va. ( DC News Now ) — It’s official! The Fresh Market, a specialty fresh food retailer, is gearing up to open two new locations in the Washington D.C. metro area.

In an announcement on Monday, the Greensboro-based grocery store said the new locations will open its doors in Northern Virginia.

One will open at the Reston Station, in Reston, and the other will open in the West Falls area of Falls Church.

“We’re very excited about expanding our presence in the Washington DC market and opening new stores in these beautiful, upscale mix-used developments of Reston Station and West Falls,” said Jason Potter, CEO of The Fresh Market, in a release. These new locations are joining two existing stores in Alexandria and Vienna.

The new The Fresh Market in Reston Square will sit at the corner of Whiehle Avenue and Sunset Hill Road.

On the other hand, the West Falls location will be on the corner of Leesburg Pike and Haycock Road, making it the first The Fresh Market in Falls Church.

This store will join a variety of retail offerings including Honoo Ramen and Bar, Ice Cream Jubilee, Masons’s Famous Lobster Rolls, and more.

“We are confident that both locations will appeal to current and new guests of The Fresh Market. We pride ourselves in becoming part of the community and believe that people will embrace all that Reston Station and West Falls offer–residential and professional, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment,” said Potter.

Officials said both stores are expected to open within the next three years.
