Nebraska City council recognizes Lacy for his service, lays out police chief hiring process
(Nebraska City) -- Nebraska City officials hope to have a new police chief by the end of this month. During its regular meeting Monday night, the Nebraska City City Council recognized Police Chief Dave Lacy for his service to the police department after he announced his retirement last month. The council also approved the appointment of Captain Lonnie Neeman as the Interim Police Chief, effective July 13th. Speaking on KMA's "Morning Line" program Tuesday morning, Nebraska City Mayor Bryan Bequette says the council felt it was important to recognize Lacy for his over four decades of service to the community.
