Virginia man charged with kidnapping, assault in West Virginia

MERCER COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — A Virginia man was charged with multiple offenses including kidnapping and assault in Mercer County.

21-year-old Jalen Hale, of Falls Mills, Virginia, turned himself in on July 9, 2024 at the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and was charged with Kidnapping, Sexual Assault in the First Degree, and Use or Presentation of a Firearm during Commission of a Felony.

Hale was wanted for warrants connected to the abduction and assault of a woman in the Bluewell area of Mercer County on June 26, 2024.
