Holy Ghost Parish welcomes new priest
The parish family of Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church, Jessup, recently welcomed Father Timothy and Pani Angela Kennedy to their church. Originally from New Jersey, Father Tim recently completed his studies at the Byzantine Catholic Seminary in Pittsburgh. He holds a Master's in Theology with a concentration in ministerial leadership. He graduated with honors and was ordained by Bishop Kurt Burnette into the priesthood on May 25, 2024. Father Tim was a deacon for 13 years, serving parishes in New Jersey and Florida.

HARRISBURG, PA — Senator Vincent Hughes has announced substantial funding for affordable housing in Philadelphia’s 7th district. Over $5.9 million in Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) will support four new rental housing projects, bringing 163 affordable units to the area. Local woman caught stealing from school district’s PTO fund
Montgomery, Pa. — A woman’s husband exposed her for stealing Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) funds to cover credit card debt and personal expenses. Elizabeth Jane DeSantis, 44, of Montgomery, admitted to taking the funds during an interview with state police investigators in May 2023, Trooper Josiah Reiner said.
