Even though it ended this year, Star Trek: Discovery remains one of the most contenious shows among Star Trek fans and probably will for years to come. Some fans saw it as too dark while others saw it as trying too hard to be Trek. And the list of reasons that folks hate it goes on and on, but there is one inescapable reason why Discovery should be applauded. Because of this series, we now have Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
