Well, we need to watch more to find out.<h2>Matlock has a strange release schedule</h2>CBS opted for an odd release schedule for this new series, and it is worrying. We saw that it cause problems for Elsbeth last year by opting for one episode to air and then a long break. While Elsbeth was renewed, we worried about its future for a while.CBS is trying this again, though. While the series premiere aired on Sunday, Sept. 22, don’t expect the show to return next Sunday. There will not be an episode now until October, and it’s not even going to be on a Sunday night!Matlock Season 1, Episode 2 will air on Thursday, Oct. 17 instead. It will move to the 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot, tucked in between Ghosts and Elsbeth. This is going to be the regular timeslot for the Kathy Bates episode.Of course, there will be a break in November or December for the winter. The show will then likely return sometime in January. For now, we can expect to see a few Thursdays of new episodes.
