The Hokies have three big games on tap for Friday night, highlighted by the football team <a href="https://fightinggobbler.com/posts/how-to-watch-virginia-tech-vs-miami-with-without-cable-full-streaming-guide-01j8dhf3pxxp">beginning ACC play at No. 7 Miami</a>. That is not the only Top 10 team a Hokies sports team will be playing this weekend and that’s where we begin this edition of Virginia Tech Hokies News.</p><h2>Men’s soccer to host No. 1 Pittsburgh</h2><p>Friday night at Thompson Field, the 17th-ranked Hokies men’s soccer team will host No. 1 Pittsburgh in their first home ACC match of the season. Virginia Tech split their first conference matches, winning at Syracuse and losing last week at SMU.</p><p>Virginia Tech enters the game 5-1-1 overall and will look to pick up a signature win to help their case to get into the NCAA Tournament later this season.</p><h2>Volleyball opens ACC play on the road</h2><p>The Hokies volleyball team will open ACC play at North Carolina State Friday night, riding a three-game winning streak. At 6-4 overall, Virginia Tech has beaten UNC-Greensboro, Chattanooga, and Ride in their last three matches. The Wolfpack, however, will be a step up in competition for the Hokies.</p><h2>Women's soccer beats Louisville</h2><p>After losing at Boston College on Sunday afternoon, 3-1, the Hokies' women's soccer team looked to bounce-back in conference play at home against Louisville. </p><p>Taylor Price scored a pair of first-half goals for Virginia Tech and finished with a hat trick in a 5-1 Tech victory. She opened the scoring in the 32nd minute off a rebound of a shot off a corner. Five minutes later <a href="https://twitter.com/HokiesWSoccer/status/1839452292077994415">in the 37th minute</a>, she tallied her second off a through-ball where she beat the goalie to the ball inside the Cardinals' penalty area to tuck home.
