Normally, I <a href="https://huskercorner.com/posts/matt-rhule-headphone-toss-fighting-nebraska-football-01j8x4ch7m9m">am not a blame the refs guy</a>, but for the second time this season, it's been so eggregious that it has to be called out.</p><p>The <a href="https://huskercorner.com/posts/nebraska-football-vs-colorado-ref-show-after-repeated-horrible-calls-01j77rh7r86m">game against Colorado</a> was some of the worst reffing I've ever seen. While overrall, this game still hasn't reached that level, the officials' performance on the Huskers final drive of the first half were truly terrible.</p><p>That their terrible calls both came within 20 seconds of each other makes it even worse.</p><h2>Nebraska football the victims of referees again</h2><p>At first, the Fox broadcast focused on a throw by Dylan Raiola deep to Isaiah Neyor near the endzone. The pass was not complete and a flag was thrown. The announcers thought it was pass interference on the defense. </p><p>It turned out to be pass interference on the offense. And when the network replayed the footage, it was clear it was not, in fact pass interference. However, that was outshone as the network took another look from a few plays earlier where Dante Dowdell very obviously got the first down. However, he was marked a few yards short.</p><p>Looking at the play again, the Fox officiating analyst realized that the refs had actually gotten confused over who had the ball.
