    Faribault girls golf wins big over Lakeville South on Senior Day

    Senior Faribault girls golfers Sara Dobson, Meredith Umbreit and Kaitlyn Worke played their last regular season home varsity meet as Falcons Thursday, going out as winners for the last time.

    Faribault won big over Lakeville South, beating them by 41 strokes in the four-person qualifier, 414 to 455.

    Mariana Hager was the low scorer for the Falcons with a 98. Lakeville's Charlotte Benolkin had the overall low match of the day with an 89. On one of the better days of the year for weather, the Falcons also had one of their lowest overall teams scores of the year, winning their seventh match of the year.

    Dobson was the second lowest score at 99. The Senior had multiple pars on the day for a solid round. Addison Thibodeau had the third lowest score at 103 and Madelyn Kramer carded the last qualifying score at 114. Seniors Kaitlyn Worke and Merideth Umbreit carded a 120 to round out the six varsity golfers.

    Faribault will now compete in the Big 9 Conference tournament on Monday May 20. with tee time scheduled for 10 am at the Northfield Country Club.
