Three ERHS students earn 2024 Minnesota YAM Awards

Elk River High School artists earned recognition at the 2024 Minnesota Youth Art Month Student Exhibition “Dream in Art.” This juried exhibition celebrates the artwork of some of our state’s most talented elementary, middle and high school students with artwork on display at the Paradise Center for the Arts in Faribault, Minnesota.

Senior Violett Funk earned the Honorable Mention Award. Junior Jersey Bauer and freshman Anne Aaron each earned Achievement Awards and their artwork were a part of the Youth Art Month display at the National Art Education Association Conference held at the Convention Center, Minneapolis, MN April 4-6.

March is Youth Art Month and it is a celebration of the visual arts. The state-level program provides a platform for recognizing skills developed through visual arts experiences including problem solving, creativity, observation and communication.

Additional exhibiting ERHS artists are Alexander Ebert, Riley Hora, Robert Hora, Leah Skogquist-Berg, Levi Holmgren, Liz Bryan, and Lee Struwve.
