A six-person tent, two charcoal grills, a gas grill, a garden of fresh vegetables protected by a handmade fence, a fire pit, and kitchen utensils neatly hung from a tree branch were among the few comforts of Gary Storey, a man who found himself living on the streets of Faribault for the last three months.

Storey’s tent and campsite was likely destroyed in the recent flood in Faribault. (Colton Kemp/southernminn.com)
