‘Art & Healing’ event in Alna Aug. 30
“Art & Healing” will be held at Puddle Dock School on Friday, Aug. 30 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. This is a community lunch and pop-up art exhibition featuring works by artists who find healing in the art-making process, and conversation on the therapeutic values of creativity of all kinds.
Garden Club of Wiscasset to learn about micro-greens
The Garden Club of Wiscasset will begin its monthly meetings for 2024-2025 on Sept. 5. The program at 1 p.m. will be presented by Peter Arnold on “Growing Micro-Greens at Home.” Arnold, a GCW member and former sustainability initiative director for Chewonki Foundation, will provide knowledge about containers, growing medium, seed starting, lighting and upkeep of a micro-green garden to ensure fresh greens all year long.
