Tuesday evening, the Tri-City United senior legion baseball team hosted Farmington with the aim to improve upon its six-game win streak. Trailing by three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning, TCU managed to rally all the way back, ultimately walking off Farmington to win 10-9.

The victory is the seventh in a row for TCU, dating back to June 28.

After a scoreless first inning, TCU got the offense rolling in the bottom of the second with Max Krautkremer hitting a leadoff single before Dylan Fink was hit by a pitch to put runners at first and second. Cameron Dobmeier cashed in the first run of the night with a liner up the middle and two-at bats later, Reggie Vosejpka hit an RBI single to right to extend the lead to 2-0.

After a run scored on a wild pitch, Chris Johnson blasted a two-run single up the middle. Farmington began to crawl back into the game in the top of the third with a trio of runs, one scoring on a double and two of them scoring error in the outfield.

Farmington then managed to tie the game in the top of the fourth with a run scoring on a bases loaded walk with the tying run coming on a wild pitch, leaving the game knotted at 5-5 after three and a half. Farmington then took its first lead of the night in the top of the fifth inning with three more runs, two of them coming on a double to center field.

Now trailing in the bottom of the sixth, TCU began its rally with a Vosejpka single to right and a Nolan Readmond single to left. Mason Novotny entered the game to bat for TCU and put down a bunt single which scored Vosejpka and kept putting runners on the bags with no outs.

Devin Whiteis followed that up with an RBI sacrifice bunt and TCU managed to tie the game at 8-8 when Dylan Fink putting a ball in play to score Novotny. Farmington retook the lead in the top of the seventh inning with an RBI single to right, leaving TCU with just three outs to keep the win streak alive.

Dobmeier led off the bottom of the seventh and was hit by a pitch before a fly out and groundout left TCU with one out remaining and Dobmeier at second. Facing a new pitcher, Nolan Readmond ripped a single to left field and Dobmeier beat the throw to home to tie the game 9-9. The next at-bat saw Readmond advance to third on a wild pitch and despite two outs, Novotny put down a surprise bunt on a 2-1 count, reaching first ahead of the throw while Readmond crossed home to secure the walk off victory.

With the win, TCU's senior legion team is now 10-5 on the season and after facing Jordan Friday, July 19, postseason brackets will be announced as the summer season begins to wind down.
