    Meet Farmington High School’s top 10 students in Class of 2024

    FARMINGTON — Farmington High School recognizes and congratulates the top 10 students in its Class of 2024.

    The graduates are listed below in alphabetical order with information provided by the school.

    Abigail Beard

    Abigail, graduating as the valedictorian of her class, views it as a great honor and her most significant accomplishment so far. She expresses gratitude for the support of the faculty and family members who have helped her on this journey. Abigail is now preparing to pursue an associate's degree in radiology at Southern Maine Community College, with plans to further her education by obtaining certification in sonography.

    Montana Betts-Levine

    Montana will be attending Maine Maritime Academy this fall, and majoring in marine biology. Her goal is to become a a zoologist who specializes in the study of penguins.

    Abigail Burns

    Abby plans to attend UNH Manchester to get a degree in biology so that way she can become a veterinarian. She enjoys hunting, fishing, and reading. She is a first degree black belt in martial arts and is in the process of getting certified to be an instructor. She was a Girl Scout and got her silver award.

    Max Filion

    Max feels it is an absolute honor to be a part of the top 10 of the class. Max feels so overjoyed to be taking this next big step in life and being recognized for scholastic efforts! Max will be attending Great Bay Community College in the fall and starting on the path to becoming a clinical psychologist. Max is also so excited to see what the future holds. Max wants to thank family for always being supportive and encouraging.

    Brendan Labrecque

    Brendan’s post-graduate plans are to attend University of Nevada-Las Vegas and pursue a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. His goal in life is to work in the renewable and clean energy industry to reduce the amount of carbon emissions (fossil fuel-based energy) negatively affecting the climate. Depending on where he goes in clean energy, he might pursue a master's degree in nuclear engineering.

    Emma Mone

    Emma is planning on going to the University of New Hampshire. Her goal is to study entomology.

    Callie Rocheleau

    Callie is the daughter of Kelly and Thomas Rocheleau and has two older siblings Nicole and Cody along with her nieces and nephews, Carter, Levi, Elliot, Indie, and Bodhi. Callie will attend Rivier University in the fall majoring in nursing with the goal to become a registered nurse.

    Callie served as vice president of the class for three years and served as president her senior year. She was a four-year varsity basketball player and three year varsity volleyball player, and was named an NHIAA/NHADA Scholar Athlete in April of her senior year. She was a Farmington 500 girls volleyball and basketball coach dedicating her Saturdays to coaching many ages. She received her licensed nursing assistant role in 2022 and has been working as an LNA at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital for almost two years. She has done many intern and volunteer work, some being at Frisbie Memorial Hospital and some helping out locally including the Farmington 500 and helping out with Valley View Community School’s events. Callie also spent her junior and senior year as an early college student at Great Bay Community College completing several courses. Callie is also one of the four recipients of Fedpoint’s 2024 Nursing Scholarship.

    Callie would like to thank her family, friends, and teachers for all the time and effort they have put in to help her succeed and their unwavering support and encouragement that was crucial to this significant milestone.

    Samantha Sambuaga

    Samantha’s plans after she graduates are to attend the University of New Hampshire, currently undeclared. She has a variety of different interests that make it hard for her to settle on one thing. She hopes her experience there will assist her in figuring out what is right for her, and help her grow as a person in general.

    Damian Schwab

    Damian Schwab is the son of Paige and John Schwab. He graduated Farmington High School fifth in his class. He was a part of the National Honor Society his senior year and ETS since Middle School. He completed a two-year program in computer networking through Lakes Region Technology Center in Wolfeboro. He plans to take a gap year from school and will work full time. He is a lover of music, playing the trombone, teaching himself the bass guitar and now drums. He plans to pursue a college education in sound design/engineering in the future. He would like to give a special thanks to his parents, grandparents, family and friends for their continued love and support.

    Anna Scruton

    Anna’s future plans include going to Great Bay Community College to study criminal justice, so she can go on to a career in law enforcement. She’s grateful for all of the experiences that Farmington High School has provided and looks forward to what the future holds.
