WINTERVILLE — PCC Small Business Center Director Halle Nobles will be the featured speaker this month when Greenville ENC Alliance hosts a free online seminar for Pitt County small business owners.

Nobles, a Farmville native who began working at PCC in January, says she will be sharing small business success tips and information about resources available to local startup, early-stage and troubled businesses. Her July 22 presentation begins at 11:30 a.m. and comes as part of Greenville ENC Alliance’s “All Up In Your (Small) Business” educational webinar series.

“It can be overwhelming trying to figure out where to begin and what tools and knowledge are needed for someone to start their own business,” Nobles says. “The PCC Small Business Center can help guide entrepreneurs through the process and steps that will help make their businesses successful.”

Located within the Robert Lee Humber Building on Pitt’s main campus, the PCC Small Business Center is a positive force for economic development in Pitt County. It is part of the North Carolina Small Business Center (SBC) Network, which is comprised of SBCs at each of the state’s 58 community colleges.

“My goal is to help people,” Nobles says. “I am a resource for the Pitt County community, at no cost, for people who are interested in starting their own business or expanding pre-existing businesses.”

In addition to one-on-one counseling and other business resources, the PCC Small Business Center offers quality training opportunities to help the community’s prospective and existing small business owners succeed, leading to job creation and retention in Pitt County.

“The PCC Small Business Center has free weekly seminars, so if anyone is interested in starting their own business, it’s an amazing place to start,” Nobles says. “Local entrepreneurs shouldn’t hesitate to reach out to me with their questions or to schedule appointments. I’m here to help them succeed.”

While the Greenville ENC Alliance webinar is free, registration is required to participate. Following Nobles’ remarks, will be an interactive question and answer session for attendees, and all webinar registrants will be sent a recording of the program once it concludes, even if they were unable to attend live.

An East Carolina University graduate, Nobles earned a bachelor’s degree in management with a concentration in international business in 2019 and a master’s of business administration in 2021. She also completed a graduate certificate in marketing at ECU and a bachelor’s in foreign languages and literature with a concentration in German.

Prior to working at PCC, Nobles spent two years as an ECU international business and management instructor. She also has business counseling experience, with specialization in social media marketing and international management.
