Nebraska AG reaches four settlements in lawsuit against THC retailers
LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers reached four new settlements this week in a statewide lawsuit against THC retailers. On Thursday, Hilgers announced settlements with Greenhouse Grandma in Chadron, A Botanical Dream in North Platte, First Stop Vape Shop in Ogallala and Zy Glam in Scottsbluff.

Special mail-in ballot election for residents of Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (KSNB) - Registered voters in Grand Island will be receiving special election ballots in their mailbox soon. The City of Grand Island is holding a special election where voters are required to submit their responses by a mail-in ballot. Hall County residents should expect to receive their ballot on July 22, according to Hall County Elections Commissioner Tracy Overstreet.
Grand Island man sentenced for police chase, shutting himself in stranger’s bedroom
OMAHA, Neb. — A Grand Island man will spend a decade in prison for leading police on a chase and barricading himself inside a child’s room. On Wednesday, a federal judge sentenced 27-year-old Tesluach Gatkuoth to 10 years in prison for being a felon in possession of a gun. A U.S. Attorney’s Office news release says police officers tried to pull Gatkuoth over in Omaha for a traffic violation in 2022. The release says he sped away, eventually ditched his car and ran on foot and then broke into a family’s home.
