Georgetown, Colorado has a ton of wonderful hiking and outdoor recreation. But it is moving towards a wonderful place to eat as well! Located just off the main traffic circle is Cooper’s on the Creek. With outdoor seating, a full bar and an extensive menu, Cooper’s is a great spot for a post adventure meal.

The Food!

Now to the important part…the Food!! Cooper’s on the Creek has a really eclectic menu that includes staples like burgers but also Duck Confit Salad and Wild Game Bolognese. While the hike I took before stopping in was adventurous, my menu selection was more on the comfort level. I went with the Bistro Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich was grilled chicken, candied bacon, smoked provolone, black garlic aioli, ciabatta, house cut fries

The chicken was cooked really well and the bacon had a nice sweetness to it. One thing that really impressed me was how fresh the toppings looked. I don’t know how to explain it but even the pickle slices seemed like the freshest I had seen. I do think the bread was a little too big for chicken so a couple bites were just all bread but overall this was a really well put together sandwich and was delicious!

Finding Cooper’s on the Creek

Cooper’s on the Creek is located just off of the big traffic circle when you exit into Georgetown (opposite of the rest area). The address is 1500 Argentine St. Georgetown, CO 80444. There is parking in front of the building and the spots along the side are also available for restaurant guests.
