    Pitas in Paradise

Pitas in Paradise is family friendly, American and Mediterranean inspired restaurant and sports bar combination. They have booths, tables and outdoor patio at the Crested Butte location and also have a location in Gunnison. When I visited during a street fair in the downtown area, the Pita was packed but they also had a really helpful staff and the food came out quick! What more can you ask for in a neighborhood gyro place!

    The Food!

Now to the important part…The food! Pitas in Paradise has appetizers, like hummus and grape leaves, but also wings and fries. They also have salads, including a Greek salad. Traditional Gyros, some non-traditional sandwiches and wraps and even rice bowls.

I went with the OG with a side of Twisty Fries. The OG is their signature sandwich and features thinly sliced slow cooked lamb, cooked in sauteed onions, homemade tzatziki, lettuce, tomatoes and feta cheese served in a pita.

The OG and Twisty Fries from Pitas in Paradise.

This was a great sandwich. The tzatziki sauce was really rich and had a strong cucumber flavor to it that I really liked. There was plenty of lamb stuffed into the pita and everything tasted really fresh. I also liked the Pita. It held up and didn’t start to crumble and was good. The Twisty fries were really good and salty and perfect after a long day of outdoor adventures! I really had a nice experience at Pitas in Paradise, if you find yourself in Crested Butte, make sure to give them a shot.

    Finding Pitas in Paradise

Pitas in Paradise is located at 302 Elk Ave in Crested Butte. There was a street fair going on when I visited so am not sure about close parking as the road was closed for the fair. Pitas in Paradise is closed on Tuesday and Wednesdays and open Thursday-Monday from 11am to 9pm

I have added this restaurant and all of the restaurants I have been to on my interactive map that you can find here. If you have a suggestion for a restaurant or any comments feel free to email me at fatmanlittletrails@gmail.com or you can follow me on any of the below social media platforms. Bon Appetit!
