Urban County Council passes zoning ordinance for medical marijuana
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Urban County Government met on Thursday to discuss a variety of topics, including amending a section to the code of ordinances to create five medical cannabis business special fees licenses and setting their fees, and a code for defining the terms regarding regulating medical cannabis businesses.

Aid is available to homeowners and renters in 11 counties, including Fayette, where Emily Fay is the public information officer for Lexington’s Division of Emergency Management. She said assistance covers damage to homes, vehicles and other property.

"Number one, Dixie Elementary, number two, Lexington Traditional Magnet School," Soraya Matthews, the district’s chief officer of Unity, Belonging, and Student Efficacy listed them off. "The ECC suggests utilizing a process called photo voice to engage stakeholders in the name change process and gather meaningful feedback."
