OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The newly established Fayette County Community Foundation (FCCF) is on a mission to enhance recreation opportunities for residents of Fayette County.

This non-profit organization aims to create a culture of local giving, enabling donors to contribute towards the community’s quality of life, health, and well-being.

FCCF, operating as a 501(c)(3) organization, will provide a platform for local organizations and municipalities to apply for grant funding that they might not have access to otherwise.

One of the organization’s goals is to address popular community interests, such as the potential development of a public pool.

For its inaugural project, FCCF is collaborating with the Fayette County Disc Golf League to provide signage for local disc golf courses.

The foundation is actively seeking community members to join in their efforts, whether they are long-time residents or new arrivals to the county.

To support its initiatives, FCCF invites donations of any amount, from $5 to $500, which will go directly to projects throughout the county.

Contributions can be made via PayPal or check.

Marion and Jack Tanner, notable community members, made the first donation to the general fund.

Marion Tanner, an active participant in the county parks and recreation board, expressed enthusiasm for the foundation’s potential impact.

After 13 months of preparation to gain official status, FCCF is eager to enter the next phase of its mission.

The organization acknowledges that setting up efficient processes will take some time, but is committed to making significant strides.

Additionally, through the Kroger Community Rewards program, residents can support FCCF by linking their Kroger cards to the foundation, which will receive donations based on spending.

To stay updated on FCCF’s progress and upcoming projects, community members are encouraged to follow the foundation on Facebook or visit its website .
