Oral arguments to be reset in Carlos Moore judicial performance case
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Oral arguments in a case that could determine whether to remove Carlos Moore as a municipal court judge will be rescheduled for a later date. Moore was slated to appear before the Mississippi Supreme Court on Tuesday, July 23. However, the attorney filed a motion to continue due to a death in the family.
DMI receives Mississippi Arts Commission grant
The Delta Music Institute at Delta State University has been awarded a $4,250 grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC). This grant is a portion of the more than $1.7 million in grants MAC awarded in Fiscal Year 2025 and will be used to fund the annual DMI Summer Camp, a five-day interactive experience for high school students ages 15-18 exploring three entertainment industry career tracks.
