FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Second Helping NWA spent their day feeding the community on July 4th.

Nate Wells, founder and executive director of the nonprofit has put this event together for three years.

“That’s the main thing we want to do; feed and then start talking to people and see how they’re doing, sit down with them in fellowship. Not just feed them and go we want to take to them,” Wells said.

Second Helping NWA serves underserved communities. The July 4th meal had Barbeque ribs, smoked chicken, baked beans and mac n’ cheese.
