FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Looking to try a new golf course this summer? The Natural State has dozens to offer.

GolfWeek by USA Today recently released two lists featuring the top public and private golf courses in each state and ten in Arkansas were recognized.

These Arkansas courses and those in other states were recognized for their scenic views, amenities and overall golf experience.

Here are the top public courses in Arkansas:

    1. Mystic Creek in El Dorado

    2. The Ridges at Village Creek in Wynne

    3. Hot Springs CC (Arlington) in Hot Springs

    4. Big Creek in Mountain Home

    5. Stonebridge Meadow in Fayetteville

John Daly’s best finish at the Masters

“The courses on this list allow public access in some fashion, be it standard daily green fees, through a resort or by staying at an affiliated hotel. If there’s a will, there’s a tee time,” GolfWeek said about the public courses.

Here are the top private courses in Arkansas:

    1. Alotian Club in Roland

    2. The Blessings in Fayetteville

    3. Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana

    4. Hardscrabble in Fort Smith

    5. Chenal (Founders) in Little Rock

“All the courses on this list are private and don’t accept daily-fee or resort play,” GolfWeek said about the private courses.
