Arkansas is coming off a 4-8 season in 2023, including a 1-7 record in the SEC. The Hogs' lone conference victory came on the road against Florida, and five of their seven league losses came by one score.

The struggles a season ago led to the firing of offensive coordinator Dan Enos. Sam Pittman replaced Enos with the former Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino . KJ Jefferson and Raheim Sanders both transferred out of the program.
