Back to School events across Northwest Arkansas and River Valley

ARKANSAS (KNWA/KFTA) — Classes are resuming for schools across the region in the coming weeks causing excitement and increasing nerves for some students.

Many organizations across Northwest Arkansas and River Valley welcome children from kindergarten to 12th grade to free back-to-school events.

A list of those events happening across NWA and the River Valley can be found below:

Back to School Bash 2024 – Rogers – July 27

• The annual Back to School Bash will take place at Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 27 at 10:00 a.m.
• 500 students will receive a free backpack at the drive-through Backpack distribution event.
• Students must be present at the event to receive a backpack along with a snack pack and other giveaways.

Back to School Bash 2024 – Fort Smith- Aug. 3

• Fort Smith First United Methodist Church and the Good Samaritan Clinic are partnering together for a Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 3 from 10 a.m. to noon.
• The free event will be held at 301 N. 16 ^th Street, Fort Smith
• The clinic will be giving away free backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, and shoe vouchers while supplies last.

Yvonne Richardson Community Center – Fayetteville – Aug. 3

• The event is open to entire community and will offer free backpacks and school supplies for all students.
• Additionally, the event will offer food, music and muck more.
• Where: Yvonne Richardson Community Center, 240 E. Rock, Fayetteville

Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club of Fayetteville – Aug. 18

• The 2nd annual back-to-bash event is conducted by 4 The Culture NWA
• The free event will be held at Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club of Fayetteville and will offer free haircuts and styles, foods, music and much more.

Back to School Bash with Macaroni Kid Fayetteville – Aug. 10

• The free event is hosted by the Macaroni Kid at their Lewis Ford Sales Inc. new dealership location – 2479 N Shiloh Dr, Fayetteville on Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon.
• The event will feature local vendors with giveaways, free crafts, and fun. Touch-a-truck, photo ops and meet & greet with local after-school activity places like karate, dance, and more.
