The Arkansas Razorbacks are not the first school you think of when you think of great college football quarterbacks. But, they have had some good ones. Whether it be Ryan Mallett, K.J. Jefferson, Austin and Brandon Allen, Matt Jones, Tyler Wilson, or even Clint Stoerner, they have had some good guys.

Now, when outsiders think of Arkansas football, they usually think of Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, and Peyton Hillis - their best running backs of all time. But the QBs have been some of the best we have seen in college football. And, they have been some great guys to learn from.

Jefferson is one of the most talented quarterbacks to ever play for the Razorbacks and put up some impressive numbers during his time there. He had a total of 7,923 yards, 67 touchdowns, and 18 interceptions in five seasons with the Razorbacks, which is pretty good, and he even holds a few school records under his belt as well.

But, Jefferson is gone now, as he transferred to UCF . Bobby Petrino, one of the college football coaching legends, brought in transfer Tyalen Green, who previously played for Boise State, to replace Jefferson. The two play similar styles, but Green is much taller and also much skinnier. He's probably faster than Jefferson, but not nearly as strong.

Now, Green is a pretty raw prospect. He played at Boise State, and while he was good, he wasn't other-worldly, and that was against the Mountain West Conference competition, where now he will be playing in the hardest football conference there is.

So, Green has a lot to learn. Luckily for him, he has a great teacher in Petrino, who coached Mallett and Lamar Jackson, now a two-time MVP with the Baltimore Ravens and a former Heisman Trophy winner. He used those two guys to help Green get better at throwing his curls.

The video, while it is just a sneak peak, of them two talking and reviewing tape is everything every football nerd, whether you like Xs and Os or now, is perfect.

Now, could these two be a great duo in 2024-25? Maybe. Only time will tell. But Green has great potential, and a great teacher helping him along the way.
