KNWA announces new evening anchor, Doug Warner

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — KNWA welcomes Doug Warner as one of the main evening anchors starting Friday, July 26.

A native of DeRidder, LA, and a graduate of McNeese State University (Lake Charles, LA), Doug has worked in several news markets including Oklahoma City, OK, Shreveport, and Lake Charles, LA, and Beaumont and Waco, TX.

Warner is a four-time Reporter of the Year recipient, honored by many professional industry organizations including the Louisiana Associated Press, the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters, and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Emmy award). Warner has earned 13 Emmy awards with over 40 nominations and multiple regional and national Edward R. Murrow awards for his reporting.

KNWA News Director, Joshua Harvison expressed his excitement about Warner joining the team. “While Doug has a ton of accolades throughout his career, I’m also excited about the mentorship he will afford our teams, from producers to reporters, and even management. Doug’s experience and dedication will serve the people of northwest Arkansas and the River Valley incredibly well!”, said Harvison.

Warner’s award-winning career spans three decades across four states – Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. And now, Doug and his wife Ashley are excited to call Northwest Arkansas home.
