Tyson Foods introduces new 'Razorback Nuggets' after John Tyson helps land John Calipari for Arkansas basketball

Tyson Foods may have released the perfect snack for Arkansas sports fans one month out from the start of the 2024 college football season.

According to CBS Sports national college football reporter Brandon Marcello, Tyson Foods has released "Razorback Nuggets," a spinoff of the famous "Dino Nuggets" frozen chicken nuggets sold by the company. The new nuggets honoring Arkansas are available today in select Northwest Arkansas and Missouri Walmarts.

John Tyson ― the chairman and grandson of the company's founder ― is a major donor to the university and helped woo former Kentucky basketball coach John Calipari to Arkansas , making the Razorbacks a powerhouse in recruiting since Calipari's arrival.

On April 10, Calipari accepted the Arkansas basketball coaching position to succeed Eric Musselman . The Razorbacks handed Calipari a five-year contract through $29, which pays him a base salary of $7 million a season. At Calipari's introduction press conference, Tyson received an ovation for his role in bringing over the longtime coaching rival.

On Tuesday afternoon, Calipari responded to the "Razor Nuggets" with a ringing endorsement on his X account (formerly Twitter).

"My friend John Tyson stopped by practice a few days ago, but he didn’t tell me about these Razorback nuggets! Can’t wait to try them. A great partnership!," Calipari wrote in a tweet.
