FAYETTEVILLE, WV (WVNS) – The rain didn’t put a damper on all the fun in Fayetteville. The town hosted a multi-day event for the nation’s birthday on Thursday, July 4th, 2024.

One local business laid its roots in Fayetteville to sell their homemade sweet tea and the state’s beloved pepperoni rolls.

Charlotte Underwood said the town management is always supportive and helps bring customers to her tent.

“The hometown welcomes us. They help us load and unload. And they promote all of the businesses that are on the Main Street here,” said Underwood.

Underwood said it is not only events that bring people to Fayetteville. She says the town workers constantly helped promote other businesses on the strip.

Underwood honed in on the other events coming up this week as well.

“The next couple of days we are going to be doing a lot of things at the park. So bring the kids, bring the animals, it’s going to be a lot of fun,” said Underwood.

The other events for the week included fireworks and even a carnival. Underwood said her and her family will continue to return to Fayetteville for all the festivities to come.
