Don Rizo Mexican Kitchen & Cantina to close temporarily for menu revamp

FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Don Rizo Mexican Kitchen & Cantina will temporarily close starting today, August 5th, to rework its menu.

The restaurant, known for its fresh, scratch-made food, aims to better serve its customers by incorporating more Tex-Mex options.

Owner Jose Rizo opened the establishment to honor his father, a lifelong restaurateur who cherished authentic Mexican cuisine.

While maintaining many of Luisa’s Authentic Specials, the revamped menu will now include popular Tex-Mex dishes such as ground beef tacos and chimichangas.

“We have unintentionally alienated some of our local community by not offering enough Tex-Mex options,” Rizo said. “We hope those in the community that have been disappointed about us not having things like ground beef tacos and chimichangas will come give us another chance to show how much love and passion we put into our food.”

The team at Don Rizo looks forward to welcoming back regulars and new guests when they reopen.
