    Fond du Lac High School to induct newest Hall of Fame class, including century old champs

    FOND DU LAC – The Fond du Lac High School Athletic Hall of Fame will induct its 16th class on Sept. 28 during the annual banquet held at Avenue 795 (formerly the Knights of Columbus Hall).

    The event begins at 5 p.m. with a social hour, followed by dinner at 6 and the official induction ceremony at 7.

    The first opportunity to see this year's inductees will be the night before, Sept. 27, approximately a half hour before kickoff of the Cardinals' second home football game of the season against Appleton East.

    Established in 2009, there have been 104 individual inductees and 14 team inductions. This year, the 1918-19 WIAA boys basketball state champions , who went a perfect 16-0, will receive the honor of being officially recognized.

    Led by legendary Fond du Lac coach, Ed 'Father' Fruth, the team scored a total of 415 points (26 per game) compared to just 185 points (11.5/game) from their opponents that season.

    The individual inductees in the Class of 2024 include:

    • Jake Gores (’33)
    • Don Peterson (’59) (Contributor)
    • Dr. John Pallin (’71)
    • John Bowman (’78)
    • Scott Clark (’80)
    • Tom Bonlander (’85)
    • Kraig Hackbarth (’87)
    • Ben King (’88)
    • Chip Paulsen (’89)
    • Emily Riese (2012)

    And the list of players from the 1918-19 boys basketball team:

    • William Fitzpatrick (captain)
    • Forrest Miller
    • William McKinley
    • Jacob Gerhard
    • Raymond Collins
    • William Seidlitz
    • Norman Noack
    • James Harbridge
    • Lucius Chase
