NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Fond du Lac native Braelon Allen has played in two professional football games and has rewritten the NFL record book in each appearance.

This time, Allen became the youngest player (20 years, 239 days) to score a touchdown in the NFL since former Green Bay Packers and Hall of Fame quarterback Arnie Herber accomplished the same feat - at the exact same age - in 1930.

And not only did he score once; he did it twice.

After just two touches in his professional debut with the New York Jets last week, becoming the youngest NFL player to record a yard from scrimmage in a 32-19 season opener loss to the San Francisco 49ers, the rookie running back saw a bit more action this week.

Allen, the youngest player currently in the NFL, caught two passes for 23 yards and his first professional touchdown from the current oldest player in the league - former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He also carried seven times for 33 yards and scored a rushing touchdown in the Jets' 24-17 Week 2 triumph over the Tennessee Titans.

Allen and the Jets (1-1) will be back in action, this Thursday, in a Week 3 matchup with AFC East rival, the New England Patriots (1-1).
