RTD Wraps Coping Panels Project
DENVER – RTD’s Coping Panels Project that began in April 2023 has wrapped up weeks ahead of schedule. The project sought to repair the caps of retaining walls between Denver and lone Tree along I-25 and was originally slated to finish up in September 2024. However, RTD has reported the equipment has been removed, and the light rail trains have commenced double-track operations.
DHA Completes First-Ever Full Electrification Project
Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC) and its partners announced the successful completion of the Denver Housing Authority’s (DHA) first-ever full multifamily electrification project. This pilot partnership resulted in replacing gas furnaces and water heaters with energy-efficient, all-electric heating, central air conditioning and water heaters powered by heat pump technologies. This project provides central air conditioning for the first time to residents of the 17 units in DHA’s Dispersed West Public Housing, replacing AC window units and fans for cooling.
