25 high school students participate in Kent Police Teen Academy
Twenty-five high school students from Kent participated in the three-day Kent Police Department Teen Academy. They learned about different divisions in the department including detectives, traffic, special operations, SWAT and the Civil Disturbance Unit, according to a Kent Police social media post. 14-year-old in Kent arrested for DUI, evading police
Kent police arrested a 14-year-old for allegedly driving under the influence and evading police last Friday. On Friday, the teenage suspect failed to stop at a stop sign on West Meeker Street in Kent. Kent police officers working emphasis patrols initiated a stop and signaled for the car to pull over. According to police officers on the scene, the car was drifting outside of the travel lane and ran a red light.
