    19-year-old charged in hit-and-run incident in Fenton

    ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A 19-year-old man from Granite City, Illinois is facing charges for related to a hit-and-run incident in Gravois Bluffs sending a man to the hospital with serious injuries.

    Jake Robinson, 19, was charged with First-degree Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Physical Injuries.

    According to a probable cause statement, at 8:10 p.m., on July 24, 2024, at 653 Gravois Bluffs, Robinson and a 45-year-old male were outside of their vehicles having a verbal argument.

    Robinson then allegedly got into his car, backed up and sped at the person, hitting them and then driving away.

    The victim was seriously injured and went to Mercy South.

    St. Louis Metropolitan Police Officers were able to locate Robinson in House Springs, Missouri.

    The incident was caught on camera according to police.

    St. Louis County Police Department City of Fenton Precinct officers are leading this investigation.
