Next phase of mid-states corridor underway
The Indiana Department of Transportation has given the green light to the first Tier 2 Study for the Mid-States Corridor Project. This phase will focus on Dubois County to determine the highway’s alignment and access plan. The study will narrow down the specific location and right-of-way needs for a 200-to-500-foot-wide facility.

Newburgh is an ever-growing city in Warrick County. Businesses are making their way into town right and left. The city is full of great fast-food restaurants. It's no secret that one of, if not, the most popular restaurants is Chick-fil-A. Last year, the company confirmed that they would be opening up a location in Newburgh. If you have driven down Highway 66, you have most likely seen the progress of the first Chick-fil-A location in Warrick County.

All-you-can-eat spaghetti and amazing auction items all for a great cause in Boonville, Indiana this August. The Boonville Elks #1180 does a lot of great things for the community. One of those things includes their annual spaghetti dinner. As someone who lives in Boonville, knowing that there is an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner coming up, I am going to have a hard time passing it up. More importantly, it's an opportunity to help raise money for cancer research and folks battling cancer in our community.

Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools Prepares to Welcome Students
Staff preparation and student achievement topped the agenda at the last school board meeting before the first day of school for Greater Jasper Consolidated Schools. The board was provided a curriculum update, including the ILEARN assessment results for 2024. In addition, they were given an overview of summer 23-24 Advance Placement testing, transportation services, staff preparedness, and reappointments. In other business, the agreement with the City of Jasper for School Resource Officers Fiscal Year 25 budget was approved. Authorization was also given to publish the CPF and Bus Replacement Plan on the GJCS website.
