    1. The Morrison Formation - Western United States

    America was the hotspot for dinosaurs’ diversity. The Morrison Formation is a famous fossil site in the North America where palaeontologists have discovered a lot of remains of the dinosaur’s species.

    2. Hell Creek Formation – Montana

    Hell Creek formation is quite famous for its fossils from the Cetaceous period that includes the fearsome Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops.

    3. Utah:

    On July 9, 2024, the researchers said that Fona herzogae, a newly discovered species of dog sized dinosaur - spent some part of its life below ground, in burrows.

    Palaeontologists have discovered some remarkable long necked dinosaur fossils. The desert region has revealed some of the giant sauropods like Titanosaurus and the meat-eating Abelisaurus.

    2. Brazil

    The flying reptiles – who lived alongside dinosaurs, are discovered in Brazil.

    What we learnt

    These were just few of the unusual places and regions where the dinosaurs once lived and roamed freely. These prehistoric creatures went extinct with the evolution and passage of time.

    Some believe they went extinct due to Asteroid Impact, other say it might be climate change or due to volcanic Activity.

    Scientists are still continuing to investigate the exact causes and discover new evidences that might have forced the mighty creatures to go extinct.
