Yeti Just Came Out With Its Smallest Hard Cooler Yet—And It’s a Game-Changer
We may earn revenue from the products available on this page and participate in affiliate programs. Learn more ›. Not too big, not too small, just right. That’s how I would describe the new Yeti Roadie 15. The latest in the Roadie family is Yeti’s most compact hard cooler to date. It solves one of the biggest issues (pun intended) I often have with hard coolers: they’re just too, well, big. The Tundra Haul, for instance, is phenomenal for our annual beach vacation to North Carolina. And the Roadie 48 is just what I want for a weekend in the West Virginia mountains.
The Cicada Report: Last Chance for Big Fish on Brood XIII Cicadas
The historic 2024 co-emergence of two cicada broods is coming to an end. The Great Northern Illinois Brood, a.k.a. Brood XIII, reached peak emergence nearly two weeks ago, and the number of bugs in the air has been declining steadily since. The good news is that fish—smallmouth bass and carp—in the Midwest are still dialed in on cicadas and should be for a little while longer. So, while the bugs may have stopped hatching, the fish continue to look up for giant cicadas on the surface.
Walleye Tournament Cheaters’ $130K Boat Up for Auction
If you’ve got the cash, you can purchase the boat used in one of the biggest fishing scandals in recent memory. And it’s a pretty sweet rig. In 2022, two Ohio anglers came under fire for stuffing walleye with lead weights at a Lake Erie walleye fishing tournament. Jacob Runyan and Chase Cominsky faced multiple felony charges and were ultimately each sentenced to ten days in jail. They were also forced to forfeit the boat they used to commit their crimes to authorities. Now, that boat could be yours.

“We Didn’t Reel in a Lot of Fish, But We Reeled in a Lot of Dogs”
Two anglers and their fishing guide rescued 38 hounds that the men found desperately treading water in the middle of a 90,000-acre Mississippi lake earlier this month. Bob Gist and Brad Carlisle set out for a day of crappie fishing on Grenada Lake on June 8 with Jordan Chrestman, who runs Tri-Lake Guide Service in Calhoun City, Mississippi. They’d been on the water only a short time when Gist spotted something odd in the distance. He asked Chrestman what he was seeing, according to Jonesboro Right Now, and Chrestman yelled, “I think those are dogs!”
Speckled Sea Trout Fishing: A Beginner’s Guide
Speckled sea trout, also known as spotted sea trout, are a popular inshore gamefish species found across the eastern and southern coasts. While they resemble their freshwater cousins in looks, these fish have nothing else in common with rainbow, brown, and brook trout. Sea trout live in shallow saltwater bays and feed on crustaceans, shrimp, and small baitfish. Their aggressive nature, accessibility, and delicious table fare make them a top gamefish for both conventional and fly anglers.

The action kicks off a review process by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) that’s expected to take at least a year to complete. In the meantime, white sturgeon will be provisionally protected under the act, prompting a temporary immediate closure of all recreational fishing for the species.

Today, it means something completely different. Airguns have come a long way, and the explosive growth of pre-charged pneumatics, in particular, has helped drive the evolution.
