LOGAN – The question of the night during the “Drybar Comedy at the Hall” performance on July 19 was, of course, whether good comedy can also be clean comedy. Four stand-up comics appeared that evening before a packed crowd at the Lionheart Hall here in Logan. All of them were Utahns, with 50 percent being local Cache Valley residents. That made them all fairly adept at tiptoeing around the sensibilities of their fellow citizens.

SALT LAKE CITY — As development pressure spreads to Salt Lake City's west side, score one for a mom-and-pop operation in the neighborhood. Margarito Parra, operator of El Asadero, a west-side Mexican restaurant, had been told by the prior developer of an apartment building taking shape next to his business that he'd have to leave to make way for more apartments. It's been the source of plenty of worry over the last two years as the initial building west of his restaurant, still incomplete, has risen from the ground, reducing traffic at El Asadero.

This rodeo will be held in the state-of-the-art 17.5 million-dollar Days of ‘47 Arena at the Utah State Fair Park to celebrate the cowboy way of life and the rich Western roots. Holding 10,000 reserved stadium-style seats for fans, there’s not a bad seat in this venue.
