NeighborWorks Pocatello offering homebuyer education course
POCATELLO — NeighborWorks Pocatello has partnered with Idaho Housing and Finance Association to offer the Finally Home! homebuyer education course. The course is available to all Southeast Idaho residents regardless of where they are in the home-buying process. The class is slated for two consecutive evenings, Aug. 7 and 8, from 5:15 to 9:15 p.m. at the NeighborWorks Pocatello offices located at 206 N. Arthur.

Kroger/Albertsons Merger Hits Temp Halt
A Denver District Court Judge has temporarily halted the proposed $24.6 billion merger between The Kroger Co. (Cincinnati) and Albertsons Cos. (Boise, Idaho), report a variety of news services, including Progressive Grocer. During a hearing on July 25, Judge Andrew Luxen granted a preliminary injunction delaying the merger while also canceling a planned Aug. 12 hearing on the matter.
