New mocktail bar brings active night life to downtown Rexburg
REXBURG – Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name … or at least the type of environment you enjoy hanging out in. The latter is the focus of a new mocktail bar at 32 College Avenue in Rexburg called Fizz Rizz. The non-alcoholic bar opened July 4 and offers daiquiris, pina coladas, margaritas, flavored sodas and more. It also has pool tables and arcade games. A space to have dances and live performances is in the works.

Level 3 (Go Now) evacuations issued for active fire in Troy, Idaho
TROY, Idaho — The Latah County Sheriff's Office said Level 3 Evacuations (GO NOW) have been issued for a active fire burning in Troy, Idaho. According to the sheriff's office, deputies are evacuating anyone who lives southeast of 1295 Driscoll Ridge Road because of the fire. Deputies say the fire is moving to the southeast, and anyone who is in the area of Driscoll Ridge is being advised to evacuate immediately.
Crews Battling new 800 Acre Lightning-Caused Wildfire in Nez Perce County
JULIAETTA - Firefighters are battling a new lightning-caused fire in Nez Perce County, located about 5 miles southwest of Juliaetta and just south of the Latah County line. The fire was sparked at around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. According to Nez Perce Tribe Fire Management Officer Fire Jeff Handel, at about 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, the fire size was estimated at about 800 acres in size and no level of containment had been achieved.
Boise teenager identified as victim of head-on crash
A 17-year-old Boise girl has been identified as the victim of a fatal car crash that occurred last week near Star. Zuleyka Angulo was driving a 2011 Ford Focus that collided head-on with a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado on State Highway 44 on Thursday, July 19, at 8:40 p.m. west of Star in Canyon County. The Chevrolet, driven by a 30-year-old Middleton man, was headed westbound and crossed into the oncoming lane to pass a semi-truck when it collided with the Ford. Angulo died at the scene. Her two juvenile passengers were hospitalized, as was the driver of the Chevrolet.
