Post-retirement life means you're likely looking for ways to stretch your Social Security , and hybrid cars can be a great option if you're looking to save money and you're tired of high gas prices.
But which hybrids are the best for retirees? Here are a few you might want to consider the next time you shop for a vehicle.
The Toyota Prius is one of the most famous hybrid vehicles. The 2024 Prius can be a great option if you're looking for a sedan with a reasonable price tag.
The Prius comes with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $27,950.
The Kia Sportage has an MSRP of $28,590. It is a crossover SUV, so it gives you more height than a typical sedan but isn’t so high off the ground that you will have trouble getting into and out of the vehicle.
The Sportage also has plenty of safety features. The model has earned a Top Safety Pick ranking by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS). The institute gave the Sportage high marks for protecting passengers in the event of a crash.

The MSRP for the Pacifica is $51,250.
