TD Bank Announces 20 More Branch Closures for Rest of 2024

Banks have been closing branches in 2024, with U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, and Fifth Third Bank closing locations.

Now, TD Bank has announced that it will also be closing branches. Will your branch be one of the affected areas forcing you to open a new account elsewhere?

1. Connecticut

• 1643 Post Road, Fairfield
• 2 North Main St., Wallingford

TD Bank started the year with 56 branches in Connecticut, but that number is down from 67 branches five years ago.

2. Maine

• 878 Stillwater Ave., Bangor

TD Bank announced an additional two closings earlier this year in South Portland and Caribou in Maine.

3. Massachusetts

• 307 Trapelo Road, Belmont
• 250 Cambridge St., Boston
• 185 Franklin St., Boston
• 2 Barlow’s Landing Road, Pocasset
• 7 Underpass Road, Brewster
• 2200 District Ave., Burlington
• 419 Lowell St., Lexington

Massachusetts will see the most branch closings, with seven locations closing their doors. The stores are expected to close in September.

4. New Hampshire

• 28 Main St., Jaffrey
• 293 S. Main St., Manchester

It’s expected that the branches along with other TD Bank branches across the country, will close in September.

5. New York

• 953 Third Ave., New York City
• 40 Fulton St., New York City
• 28-44 Maple St., Glen Falls

Two branches are closing in Manhattan, but the city still has plenty of options for customers who may have to move their banking to other nearby locations.

6. New Jersey

• 80 South St., New Providence

Even the bank’s home state was not immune from closures. The New Providence branch is shutting down in the same state at the Cherry Hill, New Jersey, headquarters of TD Bank.

7. North Carolina

• 150 Weaverville Blvd., Weaverville

North Carolina continues to face bank closures with the shutdown of the TD Bank branch in Weaverville. The state already had banks like Wells Fargo and Fifth Third Bank shutter locations earlier this year.

8. Pennsylvania

• 3933 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem

Pennsylvania has already been hit by TD Bank closings with branches in Bethlehem, Allentown, Hatboro, and Skippack on the chopping block earlier this year.

9. South Carolina

• 201 S. Morgan Ave., Andrews

TD Bank’s website states that the location in Andrews is set to close on Sept. 20, giving customers time to prepare before it shuts down.

10. Vermont

• 427 Main St., Enosburg Falls

Like each closed location, the shuttered branch in Enosburg Falls is part of TD Bank’s plans to improve customer experience and build long-term growth for the company.

Bottom line

Your local branch may be closing, but there are alternatives to help you continue your banking. Check with TD Bank to see if you have another branch nearby that you can use instead.
