    Fast-food restaurants have hiked prices, making it harder to stretch your fast food budget .

    A recent survey by Finance Buzz reviewed the rising cost of fast-food menus over the past decade. Depending on the fast-food chain, prices are higher by 34% to up to 100%.

    Burger King was not immune to the price hikes, and these menu items saw the biggest price hikes in the past 10 years.

    1. King Jr. Kids Meal: 19%

    Kids’ meals can be great fun with chicken nuggets, fries, a juice box, and a toy inside.

    But they can also be expensive now. It will currently run $4.29 this year compared to $3.59 in 2014, making it hard for parents to afford the extra cost for kids.

    2. Hershey’s Sundae Pie: 33%

    Burger King has teamed up with Hershey’s for the delectable Hershey’s Sundae Pie, which features a chocolate cream filling and fudge drizzle on top of a chocolate crust.

    But a slice of pie could take a slice out of your wallet, costing $2.25 now compared to $1.69 a decade ago.

    3. Large drink: 37%

    A large drink may be a staple on any fast-food menu, but the cost of a cola never stays the same.

    At Burger King, a large drink will set you back $2.99 now rather than $2.19 in 2014.

    4. Medium Onion Rings: 43%

    Unlike other fast-food chains, Burger King offers onion rings on its menu, and they’re breaded onions fried up to perfection.

    But the price may be less than perfect, coming at $2.99 in 2024 instead of $2.09 in 2014.

    5. Royal Crispy Chicken Meal: 52%

    Feel special with a Royal Crispy Chicken Meal, which features a crispy chicken sandwich, a side, and a drink. You can also choose onion rings or half fries and half onion rings as your side.

    But a value meal may not be as valuable due to recent rate increases. The meal now costs $9.99 compared to $6.59 a decade ago.

    6. Big Fish Meal: 58%

    Another value meal that gives you some flexibility between fries and onion rings as your side with a sandwich and drink is the Big Fish Meal.

    But again, your wallet may not think there’s much value with the Big Fish Meal ringing up at $8.99 rather than $5.69 in 2014.

    7. Whopper Jr. Meal: 65%

    A Whopper Jr. Meal is going to take a big bite of your fast-food budget, with the cost going up a whopping 65% over the past decade.

    The meal will cost you $7.59 now compared to $4.5fd9 when you ordered it a decade ago.

    8. Value Fries: 67%

    There may not be much value in the value fries anymore with the rising cost of food at Burger King.

    The Value Fries, which are smaller than a small, give you a small snack with a big price at $1.99 instead of $1.19 back in 2014.

    9. Whopper Meal: 73%

    Burger King’s signature Whopper sandwich is a fan favorite, but some customers might want to skip it after seeing the whopper of a price hike.

    A Whopper Meal with a sandwich, side, and drink comes in at $9.99 in 2024 rather than $5.79 in 2014.

    10. Small Icee: 101%

    Icees can be a fun treat for kids and adults with flavors like Frozen Coke or Frozen Fanta Wild Cherry.

    But Burger King may also experience a freeze-out from customers who don’t want to pay the huge 101% price increase.

    A small Icee will now cost you $2.19 this year instead of $1.09 in 2014.

    It can be tough to eat out when you’re on a budget, and prices are rising, but there are ways to still enjoy some of your favorite fast foods.
