Your favorite fast-food chicken sandwich may soon have some serious competition. Bojangles, the beloved Charlotte, North Carolina-based chain known for its fried chicken, biscuits, and iced tea, is not just expanding its footprint with 270 new locations in the works — it's also adding exciting new menu items that are sure to catch the eye of football fans this season.

Just in time for tailgating, Bojangles has launched marinated chicken wings in three flavors: Creamy Buffalo, BBQ, and Classic, all served with a new house-made ranch. While these wings are only available for a limited time, they’re perfect for any game-day gathering, and if you're looking to cut your dining-out costs , you can even snag 20% off a five-piece combo through the app.

(Prices vary by location, but a 12-wing feast — complete with biscuits, sides, and tea — will run about $40.)

So, whether you're looking to try these new wings, indulge in a BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich, or satisfy your sweet tooth with their new peach cobbler, keep an eye out — Bojangles might just be coming to a city near you.

Don't miss: 8 clever ways to save money so you can still afford to eat out

    1. Columbus, Ohio

Columbus opened its first Bojangles location in 2023, anticipating 15 new restaurants in total in the area.

According to the Columbus Post Dispatch, the move is being led by franchisee owner Jeff Rigsby, who is originally from Columbus.

    2. Canton, Ohio

Another location opened under Rigsby is in Canton on Everhard Road NW.

Rigsby also intends to open 45 locations in states like Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

    3. Piscataway, New Jersey

Piscataway has been approved for a new Bojangles location for New Jersey residents to try some chicken and biscuits.

The Piscataway location will have a double drive-thru to get customers through the line quicker to receive their orders.

It will be the first of 10 Bojangles restaurants expected to open in New Jersey in the next few years as part of the company’s expansion plans.

    4. Spring, Texas

Spring, which is outside Houston, is expected to be the home of a new Bojangles by the end of 2024.

The franchise will open a new restaurant on North Grand Parkway so customers can enjoy chicken and biscuits as early as 5 a.m. to get a jump on the morning crowd.

Another Houston area suburb, Tomball, is also expected to get a store this year.

    5. Las Vegas

It’s time to eat if you’re in Las Vegas and need a chicken sandwich and biscuits from Bojangles.

The restaurant company plans to bring 20 restaurants to Sin City for residents and tourists to enjoy when in Las Vegas.

“This expansion represents an incredible opportunity to share Bojangles with the Las Vegas community. The city's energy and unparalleled entertainment aligns with our brand’s commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences,” Bojangles CEO Jose Armario said in a statement announcing the expansion.

    6. San Antonio

One city that does know the taste of a new Bojangles is San Antonio, which opened a new location in August.

The new spot was so popular in its first days with the doors open that police had to direct traffic to get people through, and some drivers waited two hours in line to get past the drive-thru with their orders.

    7. Fort Worth

Another Texas location you can look for if you want to try Bojangles will be in Fort Worth.

Planning details for the new spot have been filed with the city, so the new restaurant is still in its planning phase but could be opening soon in the city.

Texas was home to several Bojangles locations in the 1980s before the company pulled entirely out of the state. These new Texas restaurants mark a return for the restaurant chain.

    8. TravelCenters of America (various cities)

TravelCenters of America are great places to stop when you’re on a road trip and need to fill up your tank and get something to eat.

Some TravelCenters of America on your western road trips could also have a Bojangles in the future.

The restaurant company plans to add 10 Bojangles to TravelCenters in Western markets, so keep an eye out for some chicken and biscuits on your next road trip through Western states.

    9. Phoenix

Bojangles will also be making its way to the Valley.

A company spokesperson announced that 20 new restaurants will open in Pheonix as part of a multi-unit agreement, which comes as part of the chain's efforts to expand out West.

And Phoenix residents will be especially happy, as Bojangles was on The Arizona Republic staff's wish list of chains they wish would open in Arizona.

    10. Los Angeles

Los Angeles County will also be welcoming Bojangles' chicken and biscuits.

The company is planning to open 30 new locations over the next six years, according to a company news release, starting in 2025.

This will be the first California location.

    11. Chicago

The southern staple will also be coming to the Chicago area.

As Bojangles continues to expand in the Midwest, three new locations are planned for the Windy City over the next three years.

While the exact locations have yet to be revealed, customers can visit the current Illinois stores in Normal, Mt. Vernon, and Marion while they wait.

    Bottom line

Bojangles can be a delicious option to add to your fast food options if you’re getting one in your area.

You can go out to eat more at places like Bojangles and stretch your fast food budget, like using loyalty programs or sticking with a budget.

Money tips that can work for everyone

No matter what your bank account balance is, there's always an opportunity to optimize and improve your finances. Here's a quick checklist of things you can look at today.

Focus on paying off your debt . Debt can hold you back from making progress with your overall financial well-being. Aside from cutting expenses, there are tools that can help you pay off debt faster like balance transfer credit cards and debt counseling.

Earning extra income can give you breathing room. If finances are tight, earning some extra money to supplement your income can make a huge difference. A new job is one option to consider, but if you're not ready to make a big change or already retired, a part-time side job could be a better choice.

Cut your expenses. It sounds painful and so not fun, but it doesn't have to be. Take a look at your biggest expenses because that's where you'll probably find the biggest savings. For example, auto insurance rates have been soaring so shopping around for a new insurance company can be the fastest way to cut your bill. Also, look for ways to cut your grocery bill (despite rising inflation).
